Processing aid for an increased extrusion output of filled and unfilled polyolefines with a simultaneous improvement of the surface of the product by avoiding melt fracture and fish-eyes.
CORDULEN ® Processing Aid-Masterbatches primary build up an inner coating of the metal-extruder- surfaces. The fluor polymer, used as lubricating substance, is very incompatible to the polymer melt and tends to migrate to the surface of the polymer even during the manufacturing process. The fluor polymer shows great affinity to metal surfaces. Thus, an extremely thin (molecular) fluor polymer-film - which is also extruded - between the extruder barrel respective the screw and the polymer melt, is built up. Comparable with a co-extrusion, a plastic extrudate with a polyolefin core and a fluor polymer surface is produced. This extremely thin fluor polymer surface maintains all polyolefine properties with an additional benefit of improved flow-properties.
